About Us

A history of elegance and tradition

The Villa Agostini Venerosi della Seta di Corliano is a historic residence of the fifteenth century, embellished with sixteenth-century graffiti. Inside it houses frescos by Andrea Boscoli (1592), Giovan Battista Tempesti, Mattia Tarocchi, Nicola Matraini, 18th century Pisan painters and decorations by Nicola Torricini, 19th century painter.

The monumental complex of Corliano includes the 15th century Villa, a 16th century noble chapel, the farm, the oil mill and the stables (designed by the architect Ignazio Pellegrini in 1755), the kaffeehaus and an enchanting park of about 5 hectares, embellished with rare secular plants and enclosed by an elegant wall.

The Villa di Corliano, recognised as one of the most prestigious Renaissance residences in Tuscany, has been the property of the Pisan counts and patricians Agostini Venerosi della Seta since 1536; it has been open to tourist use since 1978 to preserve its secular vocation for social, employment, economic and cultural development of the territory.
